In 2015, Lynnette had an opportunity to move to California from Puerto Rico. That same year, Armando, who coincidentally was also living in Puerto Rico, was also moving back to California. Believe it or not, with multiple friends in common back in the island, they never met each other! until

They connected when Lynnette posted on Facebook, asking friends to connect her with other people they trust to show her around the Bay Area. Coincidentally, they had common friend who introduced Armando to Lynnette virtually.

Two months later, they met at La Cuevita Del Mar at Calle Loíza in San Juan when Lynnette was getting ready to do an Iron Man triathlon and Armando was on a business trip in Puerto Rico.

They started off as distant friends, and eventually became roommates when Lynnette was looking to move away from Fremont to be closer to San Francisco and Armando had a spare bedroom. It took a couple of years for the fire to start, but 3 years later their love began.

In 2022, while on a trip for a wedding to Italy, Armando took the leap. While it was a complete disaster that ended up with option H for the "perfect place" to propose, he dropped to his knee to ask Lynnette for her hand, and on:
