What should I wear for the wedding?

Wear fall/winter colors. Follow black-tie wedding etiquette rules.

Should I bring my kids?

No. Although we [might] love your little ones, this is for us to enjoy time with our adult friends. Please leave your little ones at home.

Where should I stay?

We highly recommend to stay Friday November 8 to Sunday November 10 at Quinta Real Hotel since is our wedding venue. Discounted rate can be applied using our code, accommodations includes breakfast, concierge and other amenities including easy access to taxis.

When should I arrive?

Oaxaca is a magical place, we recommend you to arrive 1-2 days before the wedding date and enjoy local spots. Weather is expected to range 65F-75F. We would recommend our guests arrive on Wednesday, November 6 and depart Sunday, November 10 or Monday, November 11.

Can you recommend affordable accommodation options nearby?

Oaxaca is affordable for any kind of budget. Multiple options for AirBNBs, local hotels, and hostels. Message directly the bride or grooms for recommendations. We highly encourage you to stay at the venue hotel to enjoy the festivities including surprises.

What transportation options are available from the airport to the venue?

Multiple transportation options are available except Ubers, Lyft. Taxis are safe and realiable to use. Quinta Real Hotel (our venue) has dedicated shuttles and taxis services that can be scheduled as part of your accommodations.

Are there any group activities or excursions planned for the guests?

Yes. Thursday November 7, get ready for Mezcal & Food “chinchorreo” tour across Oaxaca. Friday November 8, please join us for welcoming cocktails at 7pm.

Are there group rates or discounts available for booking accommodations?

Yes. When booking at Quinta Real Hotel, please use “Boda Lynnette & Armando” to get 45% discounted rate with a minimum 2 night stay. We highly encourage you to stay Friday-Sunday at the hotel.

What’s the best way to navigate the local area for sightseeing?

Walking. Oaxaca Centro, is very walkable city. If you explore with local guides, we recommend “Mario Come Oaxaca” at IG or speak with the hotel concierge.

Is there information about local customs or etiquette we should be aware of?

As any city, be aware of your surroundings, when exploring the city. Be mindful and respectful to locals since the city is growing exponentially due increase of tourism. We are expecting high tourism volume since our wedding will take place a week after of “Dia De Los Muertos”. Traditionally, is a norm for Oaxacans to eat insects and other local delicacies. Our ask, try it out! If you dont like it, be politely decline any further offerings. Practice culture of care, stay off your phone and immerse yourself on the local traditions.

What’s the local currency, and should guests bring cash or cards?

The local currency is Mexican Pesos. Most places accept credit cards but we recommend to carry some cash for taxis, street vendors and markets or any quick transactions.

Are there any recommended packing tips for the destination?

Wear comfortable clothes, dress modestly. Avoid drawing unnecessary attention from locals. Please be respectful of local customs and try to blend in with the community to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
